MidSouth International Partnerships

There are over 100 million university students in the world who represent a key component of the global culture. They are the future and hope of all nations. The opportunity is ripe for students from the U.S. to go to the nations and spread the gospel internationally. We have 2 venues for students to reach these partnerships with the gospel: International Summer Projects and STINT.

International Summer Projects

On most of our International Summer Projects you are part of a team starting a very new ministry with 10-40 other students and staff. You will spend 5-6 weeks on Summer Project meeting new people, sharing your faith and doing basic follow up in a university setting. In most cases it is very relational. You are making friends and talking about Jesus. You are building relationships and bringing people to a point of decision. After you see people trust Christ you begin to do basic follow up with them and begin to help them develop the skills they will need to walk with God. The ministry you do this summer is usually followed up by a STINT team who will be in your location for the upcoming year. In other locations, there are currently existing teams that you will help build momentum and generate ministry contacts.

An International Summer Project is an opportunity to experience a new culture (sightseeing, food, people, and culture), to be involved in international ministry and to work with a team whose common purpose is to make Christ known on the college campus. All of what we do internationally can give you great ministry skills to use back on campus, especially to launch new movements!

On an International Summer Project you will receive some training in how to go about ministry in a manner that is culturally relevant and sensitive to your location, however it is assumed that you know how to share your faith. If you are not comfortable or do not know how to share your faith, but are going internationally this summer, you should ask a Crusade staff at your campus to teach you. If there are no Crusade staff on your campus, pursue training through your local church.

STINT

STINT, which is short for Short Term International, is a one-year commitment to tell students at our partnership locations about Jesus Christ. While on STINT you will be on a team that is responsible for beginning or continuing to build a movement of evangelism and discipleship at your location. Your main activities will involve sharing your faith, doing basic follow up, possibly leading a small group, planning retreats and weekly meetings, and training students to be leading the ministry after you have gone. You will spend time praying for these goals as a team and working together to make it happen. Grab a friend and go reach the world!
